The Fruits Of Victory - UK, 1931.

To different people the outcome of the Round Table parleys which ended in December 1931 meant different things. To Gandhi it meant failure to achieve the measure of self-rule the Congress and he had set as their goal. All they had got from the British Government was oral promises to treat Indian aspirations for independence sympathetically. But to a British cartoonist it seemed as though the meeting had brought rich political rewards to Gandhi for the satyagraha he had launched.
