A Volcano At Simla - As the result of the Volcano eruption at Simla the Wavell plan has been wiped out by its lava. – 1945.

On August 21, an announcement from Simla said elections to the central and provincial legislatures would be held as early as possible and that the Viceroy was going to London for consultations on new constitutional steps in India.
