Mr. Dorabji Edulji Gimi, headmaster of Kathiawad High School (later Alfred High School, now Mohandas K. Gandhi High School) when Mahatma Gandhi attended it between 1881 and 1887. Mahatma Gandhi feared very much about his headmaster Mr. Dorabji Edulji Gimi of his high school period when he was studying at Rajkot. He couldn’t go in front of him or to ask him something, and even he shivered with fear to see him. But in later years of his life he received him as his role model. And he followed his style of approach in living manners. Gandhi used to say that, “Mr. Dorabji Edulji Gimi Was a Man of method and discipline in his life...”
